The “GROUND-PRO” project, co-funded by the PR FESR Friuli Venezia Giulia 2021-2027 program (Action a1.3.1), focuses on developing and validating an innovative, modular ground infrastructure for next-generation 5G-NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) satellite communications. The primary goal of this 12-month initiative is to validate end-to-end connectivity, elevating the technology from TRL 3 to TRL 6. The system delivers state-of-the-art performance with data transmission speeds of up to 4 Gbps in downlink and 1 Gbps in uplink, enabling orbital tracking for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and driving the evolution of global IoT and the New Space Economy.
