Space Sustainability
BRICSAT
BRICSAT is a polymer-based structural solution for building small satellites (CubeSats) with a highly modular design using 3D printing technique.
The innovative manufacturing concept allows complete customization of the structural layout, with fast lead times. Furthermore, the novel structural bus aims to become a sustainable solution for small satellites missions in LEO, also by reducing the ground risk caused by uncontrolled reentry of spacecrafts into the atmosphere. The easily demisable BRICSAT structure represents a valid option in the framework of debris mitigation and sustainable space initiatives.
